Subiea: Recommendations - Various ,5top Sign Locations
1. Josephine Street - •
An investigation .has been made of the needfor additional
etop signs for intersecting streets along Josephine, west of .
Atlantic Avenue.
The Police Chief and myself, at the reques� of the
Administrative Assistant, checked into the need for additional
stop signs at the North and South approaches to Josephine Street,
at First, Second, Third, and Fourth Avenues. If stop signs are
posted at these locationa; then, technically, each intersection
is under traffic control and Josephine Street becomes a through
street between Atlantie Avenue and Harris Avenue.

Jj/2. Cortland and Louise -- �
Cortland Avenue, weat of Wright Road, has been signed for
stop intersection for all streets intersecting Cortland Avenue.
East of U�right Road, only one street, Louise Avenue, intexsecta
Cortland Avenue, Although traffic is very light in this area
- on both streets, Louise Street should be required to �p for �
' Cortland Avenue in order to maintain an effective through street �I
' on Cortland Avenue.
It is recommended that the South approach to Cortland I
Avenue on Louise Street be designated.as a stop intersection.
