. RESOLUTION 'ORDERING THE WORK AND DIRECTING THE °'
• CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE INVITING BIDS.IN.,THE
MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF LOS FLORES BOULEVARD
BY lniIDENING AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURB
AND GUT.TER AND DRIVE�r1AY. APPROACHES, TOGETHER 6dITH
ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPURTEATAIJT WORK.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
' as follows: �
Sec'tion 1 . In the opinion of said City Council the
public interest and convenience'requ'ire, and said`City Council
� having acquired'jurisdiction so .to do, the following work�or �
imf,rovement, is hereby ordered to.be done, to wit: •
Construction of cement .concrete. curbs,.gutters and-
dri,ve approaches, including a11 incidental and appurtenant worlc
,.. . .
on Los Flores Boulevard, betw.een Long Beach Boulevard�and Imperial
. Highway, in accordance with plans and specifications No. 1967-L-3
' . on•file'in the Office. of the City Clerk of said City of Lynwood.
� Sectio'n 2' . Al1 of the work.or iinprovement;. aforesaid
shall be done as conternplated in Resolution of Intention No. 68-26
of the City. Council of'said city, and to Plans and Speci£ications
No. 1g67-L-3 to which reference is hereby made for.further ,'
particulars. �
� Sec'tion 3 • Said'proposed,work or improvement, in the
� opinion of said City Council, is of more than .local or ordinary public
bene£it and said City. Council hereby determines and declares that-.
the district .to be benef.ited by said work and improvemerit,. and to
be assessed to pay the costs and expensES thereof, is particularly
described in Res'olution of Intention No. 68-26. Reference is hereby
made to said Resolution of Intention and to Plan No. 1g67-L=3 for
further particulars as to. the 'extent of'the asses'sment district-.
Se'c'tio'n 4 . The procee'dings,for.the'�aforesaid.work,and �

improvement shall:be had and takeri.under an act,of the Legislature'

of the State of California designated as the Stree'ts and Highways
Code, Division 7, and cited as the "Impro.vement Act.,of lgll," and
amendments thereto.
Sec'tiori 5 • The City Council hereby determines and declares
that .serial bonds shall be issued in the;form and manner provided in
said aforementioned act, bearing interest at the rate of six (6)
per centum per annum to represent e,aeh�asses'sment of Fifty Dollars
($50.00) or o.ver,.remaining unpaid for thirty. days after. the. date
of warrant. Said ser'ial bonds shall' extend over a period ending
nine years from the second day of January next .succeeding the next
� Septembe'r 1 following their date. Said bonds and interest thereon
shall be paid at the �'fice :of the City Treasurer of said city and
shall be disbursed by her, all as provided in said act..
Se'c.t'ion 6 . The City Clerk shall_cause to..be published a�
notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the above
described work or'improvement in the, time, form and-manner r:required
by law. .
