. IMPROVEMENT OF LOS FLORES BOULEVARD BETW�EN LONG
BEACH BOULEVARD AND IMPERIAL HIGHWAY, BY THE
REMOVAL,OF ExISTING.CURB AND .GUTTER AI�TD BY THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER, DRIVEbJAY
APPROACHES, AND SIDEWALK, TOGETHER WITH ALL
� INCIDENTAL AND APPURTEIQANT WORK, APPROVED AND,ADOPTED
BY THE"CITY COUNCIL 'AT 'A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF ON
MAY 21,.1968,. ODT THE GROUND THAT THE CITY COUNCIL MADE
� A,FIDiDING THAT THERE WAS A PROTEST OF 4.7% OF THE TOTAL
ASSESSED VALUATION OF THE DISTRICT WHEREAS THE CITY
.COUA�CIL SHOULD HAVE MADE A'FINDING OF THE PERCENTAGE
OF PROTEST BY TH� OWPIERS OF A MAJORITY OF THE FRONTAGE,
OF THE PROPERTY FRONTING ON THE'ACQUISITION OR :f,MPROVEMENT.
GIHEREAS, the City Council at a regular meeting the'reof on
May 2I, 1968 ap;;roved and adopted Resolution No. 68-31 over.ruling
protests and determining that the City Council has acquired jurisdiction
to order the proposed work or improvement.in the mat.ter of the
improv'ement of Lo's Flores Boulevard between Long Beach Boulevard :.,
' and.Imperial Highway, by the removal of existii�g curb and gutter and
by the.construction of concrete curb and gut,ter,�driveway approaches
. and sidewalk, together with all incidental.and appurtenant worlc,, and
WHEREAS, the.City. Council made a finding that ,there was a
- prote,st of 47% of the.total assessed valuation of the district, and
WHEREAS,. the City Council should have made a finding of
the' perceritage of protest by the owners'(as defined by�Section'S021 '
of the:Streets and Highways Code) of a majority of the frontage of
. the nroperty, fronting on the acquisition or improvement. �
