A RESOLUTIOld OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD REQUESTING THAT THE CALIFORNIA STATE
� HIGHWAY COMMISSIOIV ORDER A REHEARING ON THE 105
(CENTURY) FREEWAY AS SAID FREEWAY AFFECTS THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve ,
as follows: �
WHEREAS, new facts are available which show an increase in
the destructive impact upon the City of Lynwood and its'unified
school district, reducing the tax base more extensively than the
5% anticipated by the State and markedly inhibits the possibility of
recouping excessive assessment losses, and
WHEREAS, the adopted routing materially disrupts the
attendance areas for eight Lynwood schools as well as creates major
noise problems £or noi problems for three Lynwood schools, and
WHEREAS, the cumulative effect of a bisecting fr.eeway
on the five square mile city and unified se•hool district o£ Lynwood
is'totally negative'and inconsistent with urban design concepts re-
quired by the Federal government and aecepted by the State of Calif-
ornia,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood respectfully requests that the California State
� Highway�Commission order a public hearing on the 105 (Century)

" Freeway as�•it affects the City of Lynwood.
