RESOLUTION NO. 15-9014
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA; DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DEVELOP
CURB YOUR DOG LEGISLATION; PROVIDING
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City has experienced a number of complaints related to
uncontrolled dogs and the filth related thereto; and
WHEREAS, There is a need to have the owners of dogs maintain control of
their animals and be responsible for the filth that the dogs create.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY
COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF OPA LOCAK, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Manager and the City Attorney are hereby directed to
create curb your dog legislation.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of Tune, 2015.
