R�SOLUTION No. 68-66
. RESOLUTION RE 'CROSSING OF CALIFORNIA-MEXICAN
BORDER BY UDtACCOMPANIED MINORS.
WHEREAS,.the use of narcotics by minors has become an
extremely serious problem in California; and
.LJHEREAS, there is ample evidence that ,considerable .
quantities of narcotics are brought into California by minors ,
� across.the�California- Mexican border; and -.
WHEREAS, the' situation is of p'articular concernto.tnose
• cities in Lhe south`ern part of.�the State and close proximity'to the
Mexican oor.der; '
' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by.the City Council of
the City, of Lynwood, that .the United States Congress be urged to
, conduct hearings in Southern California to consider the closing of
, the,California-Mexican border.to minors unless said minors are
accompanied by a parent 'or other responsible adult; and,
