RESOLUTION NO. 15-9015
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO STUDY AN ALTERNATIVE WORK
SCHEDULE BY REDUCING THE WORK SCHEDULE TO A 4-
DAY WORK WEEK WITH 8 HOURS PER DAY OR A 5-DAY
WORK WEEK WITH 6 HOURS PER DAY; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka is in need to address its current financial situation;
and
WHEREAS, the study of an alternative work schedule will permit the City to begin to
evaluate options available to address and alleviate its financial challenges.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to study an alternative
work schedule by reducing the work schedule to a 4-day work week with 8
hours per day or a 5-day work week with 6 hours per day.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
