Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.98-75
RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES
FOR 1998 PAYABLE IN 1999
WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared a budget for the operations of the City of Medina for
the 1999 calendar year, containing the following appropriations out of the General Fund:
General Govemment $ 534,452
Public Safety $ 721,152
Public Works $ 350,200
Parks $ 69,201
Recycling $ 30,415
Miscellaneous $ 45,324
Capital Outlay $170,500
WHEREAS, the anticipated revenues for the 1999 calendar year, including Homestead and
Agricultural Aid(HACA), is $ 1,921,244; and
WHEREAS, a Truth in Taxation hearing was held on December 7, 1998;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, County of
Hennepin, Minnesota, that a property tax levy of $ 1,081,910 (not including HACA) be levied
upon the taxable property in the City of Medina for taxes payable in 1999 and herein authorize
Paul Robinson, City Clerk -Treasurer for the City of Medina to certify this resolution to the County
Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Zietlow
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson Thies, and Zietlow
and the following voted against: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted
this 15th day of December, 1998.
