MINUTES OF THE FINANCE SUBCOMMITTEE, AUGUST 13, 1993
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A,M. Mary Windle and
Jeanne Breazeale were present. The following items were discussed:
(1) Fund Raising - it was agreed that fund raising should begin
after a decision on replanting the Australian Pines has
been reached, and subsequent replanting AlA plans have been
finalized.
(2) Maintenance Funding - it was agreed that the Committee
will recommend to the Commission that maintenance funding
be provided for in the annual Town budget.
(3) Anticipated Schedule -
Fall 1993 - DOT trimming
Hazard Tree Survey by Hoyt
Hoyt trimming of pines
Bill to Foley
Spring 1994 - Decision from State on replanting AP's
followed by 1 to 2 years of working out
details with DOT
Start fund raising in community
Apply for grants
Find nursery to grow pines & get genetically
superior seeds from Australia Tree Seed bank
OR
Start working with Landscape Architect to plant
something else.
Spring 1995 - Trim remaining pines again
Start new planting (trees grown from seed will
not be ready until 1996)
