GULF STREAM HISTORIC HIGHWAY COMMITTEE
TOWN OF GULF STREAM
TOWN HALL OF GULF STREAM
100 SEA ROAD, GULF STREAM, FLORIDA
October 28, 1996
The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Jeanne
Breazeale at 9.30am. Also in attendance was Cynthia Neeves.
Absent - Kim Tiernen.
The above three people currently constitute the Highway
Committee.
Now that permission and funds have been received to
replant the historic two mile stretch of AlA from Sea Road
to Pelican Lane, the Committee now has the task of searching
for and selecting a competent firm of landscape architects
to work with them on plans to be submitted to the Town
Commissioners. It is estimated this project will take six
to nine months, beginning as soon as a full Committee is in
place.
It was suggested that the Committee should be expanded
to six members and the following people have expressed an
interest in serving on this Committee:
Randolph Ely
Candice Heydt
Betsy Hornberger
Perry O'Neal
Mona Walter
It was further agreed to submit these names to the Town
Commission and to ask the Commission to consider them, along
with any suggestions they might have. It was thought that
since the Gulf Stream golf club has a large frontage on AIA
the Committee might include a member of the golf club.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned
at 9.50a.m.
