HomeMy Public PortalAbout1999-0035 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.99-03 RESOLUTION ADOPTING MAP OF LANDS ELIGIBLE FOR DESIGNATION AS AGRICULTURAL PRESERVES WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 473H.04 authorizes the city council to designate by resolution and a map the land within the community is eligible for designation as agricultural preserves; and WHEREAS, the city has received two applications from property owners requesting that the city designate their land as eligible as agricultural preserves; and WHEREAS, the city council has determined it is in the best interest of the community to designate the specified lands as eligible as agricultural preserves and intends also to rezone said land from rural residential to agricultural preservation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The lands identified on the map attached hereto as Exhibit A are hereby declared to be eligible for designation as agricultural preserves. 2. City staff is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a copy of this resolution, with the attached map, to the Metropolitan Council, pursuant to Mmnesota Statutes, section 473G.04, subd. 3. 3. City staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional actions necessary or convenient to accomplish the purpose of this resolution. Dated: January 5,1999.
