order at 4:30 P.M.
II. Members in attendance. All members were present.
Also in Attendance: Kristin K. Garrison -Town Manager
Connnie Fisher-AlA Landscape Architect
Eight members of the public -representing
Gulf Stream Shores, Villa D'Este and
Westminister Condominium
1. Historic Markers: The Committee determined that
Historic Markers were not desired at this time due to
concerns that efforts to read sign might distract
motorists.
2. Entry Markers: The Committee agreed that one entry
marker should be located at each end of Town, and be
very simple in design.
After a number of ideas were discussed, the consensus
was a 4 ft. high, 2 ft. by 2 ft. marker with simple
lettering on 2 lines:
Town of Gulf Stream
Est. 1925
The possibility of facing the bottom of the marker with
coquina marble was also discussed. Use of coquina would
depend on cost. Jeanne Breazeale will work with Kim
Tiernan to get cost estimates. Regarding directional
signage to Town Hall and Police Department, a simple
wood berm sign was favored.

Ms. Fisher will add the cost to the budget, as it should
be minimal.
1. Gulf Stream Shores Condominium:
Mr. McGinty was in attendance and the committee was
pleased that the Gulf Stream Shores is considering land
-scaping improvements which would enhance the Landscape
Project. Ms. Fisher reviewed her sketches with Mr.
McGinty and the Committee expressed that they supported
her ideas.
2. Villa D'Este Condominium:
Ms. Fisher relayed the Villa D'Este concerns about any
changes to existing landscaping in front of the
Condominium. The group agreed that new pine trees
should be planted only in front of properties whose
owners were fully supportive of the trees, as much care
and patience will be required while the trees establish
themselves. Ms. Fisher suggested Ligustrum trees as an
alternative canopy tree. The Committee agreed that Ms.
Fisher and Town Manager Garrison should discuss this
idea with the Villa D'Este Condominium.
V. Future Meeting dates.
There were no scheduled Meeting Dates and the Committee
suggested that Town Manager Garrison set up future
meetings as needed.
VI. Adlournment.
The Meeting adjourned the meeting at 5:45 P.M.
NOTE: Ms. Fisher met separately with representatives of
the Condominiums.
