MINUTES OF MEETING
GULF STREAM HISTORIC HIGHWAY COMMITTEE
TOWN OF GULF STREAM
TOWN HALL OF GULF STREAM

October 16, 1996
1. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Jeanne
Breazeale at 9.30a.m. In attendance was Cynthia 1ie.eveS-
Also in attendance were Commission Joan Orthwein and Town
Manager, Scott Harrington.
2. The meeting was a general discussion of plans to appoint
three new members to the committee and the work that the
committee plans for choosing a landscape firm to advise
on the planting and landscaping of the Gulf Stream
historic corridor on AlA from Sea Road to Pelican Lane.
3. Discussion was also held regarding a small ceremony to
recognize the work of those who were instrumental in
saving the Australian Pine canopy on AlA and obtaining
government funds of $280,000 for replanting the pines
and other trees and shrubs in the historic corridor on
AlA. It was decided to hold this ceremony on December 17
following the Architectural Review Board meetin
scheduled that morning.
The meeting was adjourned at 10.45am.
