HomeMy Public PortalAbout15-9039 TO REOPEN CITY CONTRACTS FOR NEGOTIATION WHERE OPPORTUNITIES EXIST FOR IMPROVE EFFICIENCY Sponsored by: City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 15-9039 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REOPEN CITY CONTRACTS FOR NEGOTIATION WHERE OPPORTUITIES EXIST FOR IMPROVED EFFICIENCY; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, The City has approximately 200 open and active contracts; and WHEREAS, Each contract may be subject to negotiation to achieve terms that benefit the City; and WHEREAS, any revised contract would require a review and approval by the City Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the City Manager to review and reopen active City contracts and renegotiate any terms and conditions that will be more efficient and more advantageous to the City. Any revisions to any contracts must be presented to the City Commission for review and approval. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of July, 2015.
