HomeMy Public PortalAbout15-9044 DEVELOP A PLAN TO REPAY ALL EMPLOYEES THAT RECEIVED A REDUCTION IN PAY Sponsored by: Commissioner Kelley RESOLUTION NO. 15-9044 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO DEVELOP A PLAN TO REPAY ALL CITY EMPLOYEES THAT RECEIVED A REDUCTION IN PAY AS A RESULT OF THE CITY'S CURRENT FINANCIAL CONDITION; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, City employees took a reduction in pay as a result the City's current financial condition; and WHEREAS, there is a need to develop a plan to repay all employees that received a reduction in pay as a result the City's current financial condition. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to develop a plan to repay all City employees that received a reduction in pay as a result of the City's current financial condition, when city finances improve, regardless of whether they are here or no longer employed. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22ND day of July, 2015. z yra L.
