HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-29-2003THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MAY 29, 2003 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003 in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided, with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger, and Joel Harvey in attendance. The following business was conducted: APPROVAL OF MINUTES Henry moved to approve the minutes for May 22, 2003, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Henry presented claims for payment from the Finance Department in the amount of $395,747.64 and moved for approval, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. BID REJECTION A. Goodwin said that all bids that came in for the demolition of the Ramada Inn were to high and asked that they be rejected. Henry so moved, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. Metzger abstained because he is the attorney for Ramada Inn. AGREEMENTS A. Goodwin requested approval for an agreement with Manpower for temporary janitorial services at $12.60 per hour with an option to terminate on 30 day notice. Metzger moved to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
