A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD SUPPORTIiQG THE SOUTHERNI�OST ROUTE OF � '
THE PROPOSED'CENTURY FREEWAY'.
The Cit.y Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby �
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the Century Freeway route alignment will soon be ,
precisely determined, and • � �
WHEREAS, .the city is primarily a,residential community of
. five square miles with 4�,135 people, and .. .
. WHEREAS, any route bisecting the.city would have an
_ irrepa.rable effect•on the Lynwood Unified School District in particu-
lar, and would be extremely injurious to the.social and economic
foundation of the community in general, and
, � WHEREAS, the City Council has previously supported only
those routes which traverse generally the corporate boundaries o£
the city, • . �
, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that, after intensive .
investigation,, the City Council finds and determines that the most
southerly proposed route of the Century Freeway through the City of
, Lynwood will have the •least injurious effect on the community. values
of Lynwood and is therefore determined to be the most acceptable
alignment for. the Century Freeway: �
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Resolution No. 66-21 is hereby
supers'eded since the most southerly route,was not being considered
