THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 5, 2003
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m. Thursday,
June 5, 2003 in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided,
with Robin Henry in attendance. Bruce Metzger and Assistant City Attorney Joel Harvey were absent.
The following business was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There were no minutes to approve.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Henry presented claims from the Finance Department for $227,905.17 and made a motion to approve,
second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
REQUESTS
A. Goodwin read a letter from Captain Don Ponder requesting approval of a handicapped parking
sign for Arlene White at 401 West Main Street and for Thelma Jean Phillips at 336 South 10th
Street. Henry moved to approve, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice
vote.
CHANGE ORDER
A. City Engineer Charles Greene requested approval for change order #3 on the Northwest "N"
Street extension, to install a manhole on the south side of the street. The cost of labor is an
increase of $677.99 and the new total is $109,819.49. Henry moved to approve, second
by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a vice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice
vote, the meeting was adjourned.
