RESOLUTION N0, 67-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD OVERRULIPJG PROTESTS, ORDERIIJG THE
WORK AND LEVYING THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR
SERVICE NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN AND IS,LUMINATE
ALL STREET LIGHTS IN THE CITY OF LYNVd00D.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council o£ the City of
Lynwood as follows:
WHEREAS, theCity Council of the City of Lynwood,
California did, on the 7th day of March 1967; adopt Resolution
No. 67-17 fixing the time and place for a hearing in the matter
of lighting maintenance district No. 20 and to Plans and Speci-
fication No. 1967-D of the City of LJnwood, and
WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full
opportunity to present their protests or objections, and
WHEREAS, evidence has been received as tofhe publication
and posting of notice of said hearing in the time, form, and
manner required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, the �aid City Council, after due
� conuideration of all such ob,jections-andprotests, does hereby
overrule and deny any such protesta and ob,jections and each of
them to the work or improvement to be done within said Street
Lighting Maintenance District as described in Reaolution of
Intention No. 67-16 of said city and to the proposed assessment
, therefor; and does hereby confirm and adopt as a whole, unmodified,
the assessment and report as described in said Reaolution of
Intention No. 67-16, and �
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public intereat and
convenience demanda and requires and this City Council doea
hereby order the aaid contemplated impr,oqement to be made in
accordanee with the plans and specificatione therefor, adopted
and approved, and the City Council does hereby levy the said
proposed asseasment made to cover the costs and expenses of said
� improvement upon the respective sub-divisions of land in said
dietrict and as fixed by the proposed report and assessment
heretofore filed in the office o£ the office of the City Clerk,
and
� BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City
of Lynwood•is hereby ordered fo transmit to the County of Los
Angeles tax collector the diagram and asaeesment upon which such
levy is based, and said county tax collector is hereby authorized
and directed to make collections of all such asseasments, and to �
perform all the acte and duties as are required of eaid act to
be performed by the persons designated as "Tax Collector" in
Chapter 6 of the Street Lighting Act of lglg as amended.
