Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 99-18
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING APPLICATION
FOR THE DNR METRO GREENWAYS GRANT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Medina has enacted ordinances and
regulations protecting the city's natural resources; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has a strong interest in continuing its efforts to protect the
City's natural resources; and
WHEREAS, the City has an opportunity to work cooperatively with other jurisdictions to
apply for a grant to further these efforts; and
WHEREAS, this grant will provide the opportunity for the city to work with; and
WHEREAS, this grant allows the city to conduct a detailed analysis on the extent and
location of the City's significant natural resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Medina hereby
supports the application for the DNR Metro Greenways Grant in conjunction with the
Hennepin Conservation District.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Smith and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson, Smith, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
