HomeMy Public PortalAboutRES-CC-1976-05RESOLUTION 5-76 Notice of Intention to Create Special Improvement District for Moab, Utah Special Improvement District No. 4 Notice is hereby given that the Moab City Council is giving notice of its intention to create a special improvement district to make improve- ments and to levy assessments to pay all or a part of the cost thereof. The purpose of the district is to establish grades and lay out, and extend curb, gutter, and paving on Park Drive, Taylor Avenue, and McGill Boulevard as follows: Curb and Gutter and Grading and Paving and Sidewalks Park Drive: Beginning 230 feet east of Centerline of Opal Avenue and extending easterly 70 feet by 35 feet to east end of Park Drive, or east boundary of Emerald Subdivision. Grading and Paving Park Drive: Beginning approximately 106 feet west of Cen- terline of Opal Avenue and extending westerly 210 feet by 35 feet to the east side of Fifth West Street. Curb and Gutter and Driveways South side of McGill Boulevard from Fifth West Street easterly approximately 277 feet. Grading and Paving McGill Boulevard from Fifth West Street easterly approxi- mately 588 feet by 35 feet. Taylor Avenue from McGill Boulevard southerly approxi- mately 107 feet by 35 feet. The Moab City Council will hold a public protest hearing on Tuesday, October 19, 1976 in the City Council Chambers, Moab City Hall, 121 East Center Street, at 8:00 P.M., as required by Utah Code Annotated Title 10, Cities and Towns, Chapter 16, Municipal Improvement District Act; Sections 1 through 37. A protest meeting will be held October 19, 1976 after the below pub- lications and mailing requirements have been met. At this time, all those property owners who do not wish to be included in the district can so protest. If less than 2/3 of the assessable property represented in the district does not protest, the district will be created. Wm. Dean McDouga d, ayor ATTEST: RESOLUTION 5-76 The Moab City Council has amended a resolution that was originally adopted on January 16, 1973, by adding a new section as follows: "Add: Transient Merchant Retail business collecting sales tax. $10.00 application fee to be made at the time of filing ap- plication, payment non-refundable, and further, to pay to Moab City a yearly license fee of not less than $500.00 plus 2% of gross sales, payable quarterly."
