, � OF LYNWOOD REQUESTING.CONSIDERATION BY THE LOS
��' ANGELES COUDi1^Y, BOARD OF SUPERVISOP,S FOR SUPPORT .'
ON THE CENTURY FREEWAY'ALIGNMENT. �
The City Council,of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolde as follows:

, WHEREAS, �;the �Century Freeway is planned,to .be,con-
�� structed in or near the'City of Lynwood,. and
� WHEREAS, the City is.p'rimarily a residential community ,,,,,
., of 4.512•square miles with 43',500.population, and'
���,- ' WH�REAS, to completely bisect the City would have an '
irreparable,,effect on the Lynwood Unified School D'istrict �in
" • particular, and would,be injurious�to the social and economic
- � foundation of the community,'in general, and, ,
WHEREAS „the original freeway�plans proposed that the
• , _ •
, Century Freeway traverse the boundary of the' City for the
� greater part of .its construction, �

" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Angeles ,� '
� County Board of Supervisors be `petitioned to adopt,a resolution
'.� req•uesting.the State Highway Commission to'consider only the�°
= norther•ly.route.through•`Lynwood:which causes the least damage �'
� , ; to the Lynwood Unified School Distr.ict-and the socio-economic
: environment of the that this'resolution be trans-
