HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-24-2003THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 24, 2003 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 9 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2003 in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided, with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger, Assistant City Attorney Joel Harvey and City Attorney Bob Bever in attendance. The following business was conducted: APPROVAL OF MINUTES There were no minutes to approve. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Henry presented claims from the Finance Department for $245,953.86 and made a motion to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. ACQUISITION OF RIGHT -OF -WAY A. Goodwin requested approval for the acquisition of right -of -way for the extension of a roadway from Industries Road South into CIT Realty owned property. Bever explained purchase price is $25,000, value set at $27,300, and City has earmarked $35,000 in L R & S funds for the purchase. The agreement calls for two curb cuts, one on each side of the new right -of -way for Raper owned ground. City Engineer Charles Greene asked that the document be amended on the 2nd page to reflect a 35 foot radius instead of the 50 feet shown and asked that our approval be subject to engineering completing their review of the legal descriptions. Metzger so moved second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. Bever also requested approval for a contract to be entered into with Matt Nepote for $800 to cover the cost of the appraisal on this land ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
