Member Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.99-32
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID ON THE MOHAWK
DRIVE AND CHIPPEWA ROAD SANITARY SEWER AND
WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the making of the Mohawk Drive
and Chippewa Road sanitary sewer and water main improvement project, bids were received,
opened and tabulated according to law and four bids were received which were in compliance with
the advertisement; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Metro Utilities Inc. of Plymouth, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. The mayor and clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with Metro Utilities Inc. of Plymouth, Minnesota, for the construction of the Mohawk
Drive and Chippewa Road sanitary sewer and water main improvement project according to the
plans and specifications approved by the city council and on file with the clerk -treasurer.
2. The clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the bids of Metro Utilities Inc. and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Johnson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Hamilton, Johnson, Smith, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None Absent: Ferris
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
