HomeMy Public PortalAbout1999-03275 Member Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.99-32 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID ON THE MOHAWK DRIVE AND CHIPPEWA ROAD SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the making of the Mohawk Drive and Chippewa Road sanitary sewer and water main improvement project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and four bids were received which were in compliance with the advertisement; and WHEREAS, it appears that Metro Utilities Inc. of Plymouth, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The mayor and clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Metro Utilities Inc. of Plymouth, Minnesota, for the construction of the Mohawk Drive and Chippewa Road sanitary sewer and water main improvement project according to the plans and specifications approved by the city council and on file with the clerk -treasurer. 2. The clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the bids of Metro Utilities Inc. and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
