BE IT RESOLVED by: the,City .Council of the City :o£ Lynwood
as follows: ' �• - ' '
°� �Section 1. It is the interition of the City Council o£ the
- City of•Lynwood.to call a•special election for the purpose,of sub-'�,
mitting to-the qualified electors residing in certain inh�bited
'� territor5� contiguous to said city the question whether or not said
territory shall be annexed to the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. That said territory hereby is designated and
id'entified for auch election pur.poses and for use 'upon the ballots
, at,su'ch election as "Century Boulevard Annexation No. 2,�' and is
'des'cribed as follows': --
I Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Los '
� I Flores Boulevard, 50 feet wide, and the northerly
� prolongation of the centerline of the first alley east
• � I of Pope Avenue, said alley being 15 feet wide, as shown
i on map of Tract No. 798 recorded in Book 90, pages
� 34, 35 and 36 of Maps, in the Office of the Recorder
� of Los Angeles County, State of California, said inter- �

City of Lynwood as same existed on October l, 1965

Section 3. iJotice is hereby given that .the City.Council
of the City of Lynwood will conduct a public hearing on said proposed
annexation on Tuesday, the lgth day of July, 1966 at the hour of
7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 11330 Bullis
Road, Lynwood, California. At any time not later than the hour
set for hearing objections to the election „ any owner of property
within the territory may make a written protest against the annexation.
Such protest must be in writing and shall state the name of the
owner of the property affected and the str.eet address 'or..other
description of the property sufficient to identify.it on the last
equalized assessment roll. If it�is,found that the protest is not
made by the owners of one-half of the. value of the territory proposed
to be annexed, further proceedings shall be taken in aceordance with
the law for holding of such special annexation eleetion.
Section �4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and is hereby directed to, cause a copy of same to be
published once a week'for the two weeks prior to said hearing in the
Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, published in
the City of Lynwood and circulated within the said territory proposed
to be annexed.
