A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDISdG LOS
AIJGELES COUNTY MASTER PLAN OF HIGHWAYS TO DELETE
120TH STREET AND BUTLER AVEP3UE ADID ADDSNG ll9TH
STREET AND LYNWOOD ROAD.
WF-TEREAS, the Lynwood City Couneil met in a regular
session on Tuesday, June 21, 1966 at 7:30 p.m, and,
WI-IEREAS, the request of the Los Angeles County
Regional Pla,nning Commission of Amendment No. 641, Master Plan
o£ Highways, was carefully considered and all pertinent
testimony given,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Lynwood Gity
' Council endorses 'the proposed change for the following reasons:
, �, The new route is more in'�keeping with the
tra££ic flow in the area;
2, Lynwood Road is ten feet wider and, therefore,
" able to carry more_traf£ic in a. sa,fer manner
fhan Butler Avenue;
3. The proposed charige recognizes the Master Plan
of Highw&ys of the-City of Lynwood.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council instructa
the City Clerk to send a copy of this resolution to the Los
Angeles County Regional Planning Commission £or their in£ormation.
. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st da.y of June, 1966.
