AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE
AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond has submitted an application for a PMTF (Public
Mass Transportation Funds) Capital Assistant Grant from the Indiana
Department of Transportation to be used for repairs and improvements
to the City parking garage located between South 7th and South 8th Streets; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond has been notified that grant funding from the
Indiana Department of Transportation has been approved in the amount
of Fifty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars ($55,820.00); and
WHEREAS, it is therefore desirable to accept and appropriate said grant funding as
well as the required local matching funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Mayor, Grants Administrator, and other necessary City Officials are hereby authorized to accept PMTF Capital Assistant Grant funding from the Indiana Department of Transportation
in the amount of Fifty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars ($55,820.00).
2. Said grant funds are hereby appropriated for repairs and improvements to the City parking garage.
3. Matching funds in the amount of Fifty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars ($55,820.00) are hereby appropriated from local E.D.I.T. money and used for repairs and improvements
to the City parking garage.
Passed and adopted this 20th day of January, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
