RESOLUTION NO. 15-9075
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REQUIRING THAT ALL
PROPOSED ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BE
ACCOMPANIED BY A FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT FROM
THE CITY MANAGER, AND DIRECTING THE MANAGER TO
DEVELOP A POLICY FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has a duty to be informed of and track the
City's budget and expenditures; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for the City Commission to be informed of the fiscal
impact of proposed ordinances and resolutions have on the City's fiscal and financial
stability of the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby requires that all proposed ordinances
and resolutions be accompanied by a fiscal impact statement from the City
Manager.
Section 3. The City Commission further directs the City Manager to develop a
policy for the implementation of this resolution and bring back to the City
Commission the implementation plan.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
