RESOLUTION NO. 15-9081
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 07-7036 BY CHANGING THE LENGTH
OF CITY RESIDENCY FROM 25 YEARS TO 40 YEARS; AND
BY PROVIDING POLICE ESCORTS, THE USE OF THE
HELEN L. MILLER CENTER (INCLUDING TABLES &
CHAIRS) FOR REPAST AND THE GIFT OF A FLORAL
ARRANGEMENT TO THE FAMILY AT NO COST,;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, The City of Opa-locka, Florida, is desirous of honoring its
pioneer residents; and
WHEREAS, The City wishes to amend Resolution No.: 07-7036 by changing
the length of City residency from 25 years to 40 years, and by providing for police
escorts, the use of the Helen L. Miller Center (including chairs and tables) and the
gift of a floral arrangement to the family at no cost.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. Resolution No.: 07-7036 is hereby amended by changing the length
of City residency from 25 years to 40 years, and by providing for police escorts, the
use of the Helen L. Miller Center (including chairs and tables) and the gift of a floral
arrangement to the family at no cost.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

RESOLUTION NO. 06-6883 TO PROVIDE FOR THE USE OF
THE HELEN L. MILLER CENTER FOR REPAST CEREMONIES
TO INCLUDE USE OF CHAIRS AND TABLES ON SIGHT AND
A CITY FLORAL ARRANGEMENT AT NO COST TO THE
FAMILY
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka,Florida,is desirous of honoring its pioneer residents;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to amend the provision for the use of the Helen
L. Miller Center for repast ceremonies to include use of chairs and tables on sight.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:

Section 2. Resolution No.06-6883 is hereby amended to provide the use of the Helen L.
Miller Center for repast ceremonies to include use of chairs and tables on sight and a city floral
arrangement at no cost to the family.

pioneer residents twenty-five(25)years or more residency to he honored with a City of Opa-Facia
