RESOLUTION NO. 15-9082
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REQUIRING ALL
ADVERTISED EVENTS SPONSORED OR HOSTED BY
THE CITY, A COMMISSIONER OR COMMISSIONERS, OR
THE MAYOR INCLUDE A WRITTEN OR VERBAL
CAPTION OR NOTATION "THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA" ;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Opa-locka, Florida sponsors events on a weekly
basis; and
WHEREAS, There is a need for the residents of the City and the general
public to be fully informed of the support given by the Mayor and City Commission
of the hosted or sponsored event.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. All advertised events hosted or sponsored by the City, a City
Commissioner or Commissioners, or the Mayor include a written or verbal caption
or notation: "The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida."
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of October, 2015.
