RESOLUTION NO. 15-9084
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA; SUPPORTING THE
CREATION OF A "COMMUNITY GARDEN OF
REMEMBRANCE" AT INGRAM PARK FOR RESIDENTS OF
OPA-LOCKA WHO HAVE LOST THIER LIVES TO
VIOLENCE; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Great City of Opa-locka, Florida, wishes to honor the
memories of those residents of the City who have lost their lives to violence; and
WHEREAS, It is the desire of the Great City of Opa-locka, Florida, to create ,
at no cost to the City, a "Community Garden of Remembrance" for those resident of
the City who have lost their lives to violence at Ingram Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY
COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF OPA LOCAK, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby supports, at no cost to the City, the
creation of the "Community Gardens of Remembrance" at Ingram Park in
honor of those City residents who lost their lives to violence.
Section 3. The Manager further directed to report back to the City
Commission within 60 days of the effective date of this Resolution with a
report on its progress in the establishment of the "Community Gardens of
Remembrance."
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
