HomeMy Public PortalAbout15-9092 FEASIBILITY OF USING BUILDING OF VACANT LAND IN A I-2 OR I-3 ZONE FOR A WASTE RECYCLING PROGRAM Sponsored by: Commissioner Pinder and Commissioner Santiago RESOLUTION NO. 15-9092 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF USING BUILDINGS OR VACANT LAND IN A I-2 OR I-3 ZONE FOR A WASTE RECYCLING PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, desires to develop a recycling building or vacant land in furtherance of its waste recycling program; and WHEREAS, The development of such recycling building or vacant lot would promote the City's waste recycling program. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to study the feasibility of developing a building or vacant lot in a I-2 or I-3 zone for the City's waste recycling program, and to bring back the results of the study in 60 days. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
