HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-31-2005THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, THURSDAY MARCH 31. 2005 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, March 31, 2005, in the Community Room at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5h Street, Richmond, Indiana. In attendance were Board Members John Kenny, Dian Lawson and Mary Jo Flood. Also attending were Adam Forrest representing the City Attorney's Office, Street Commissioner Bill Smith and Jeff Mauer from Tdm Construction. The following business was conducted: CALL TO ORDER Kenny called the meeting to order and noted for the minutes that all board members and legal counsel were present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Kenny made a request to the board to approve the minutes for the March 24, 2005 meeting. Flood made a motion to approve with a second by Lawson. The motion was unanimously passed. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Kenny made a request to the board to approve the April 1, 2005 claims for payment in the amount of $207,890.39. He explained that some of the larger dollar items were the City's portion of the quarterly 911 payment, quarterly Animal Welfare League contract, payment for continuing work on the grounds of McBride Stadium, payment for Airport door, and a truck purchase for Roseview Transit. Lawson made a motion to approve with a second by Flood. The motion was unanimously passed. BID OPENING Kenny opened bids for the Rehabilitation Projects for curbs and sidewalks on West Main Street from NW 111' St to NW 181' Street and North 181' Street from North "C" to North "E" Street. Those bids were as follows: 1) Byrco Inc. — North 181' from North "C" to North "E" Street - $118,511.00 2) Bolin Construction — North 18th from North "C" to North "E" Street - $88,170.00 3) L J Deweese — North 18th from North "C" to North "E" Street - $75,500.00 4) Tdm Construction — West Main from NW 11th to NW 18th Street - $265,614.00 Board of Works Minutes March 31, 2005 Page 2 of 2 5) Bolin Construction — West Main from NW 111' to NW 18'h Street - $274,274.00 6) L J Deweese — West Main from NW 111' to NW 181' Street - $250,757.00 ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed unanimously.
