HomeMy Public PortalAbout1999-072163 Member Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.99-72 RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the Cities of Greenfield, Independence, Long Lake, Maple Plain, Medina, and Orono entered into a Joint Powers Agreement under the authority of Minnesota Statute 471.59 in order to create the West Hennepin Recycling Commission for the purpose of establishing, administering, and operating a curbside recycling program in each of the member Cities; and WHEREAS, the West Hennepin Recycling Commission has recommended extension of the Joint Powers Agreement as revised in October, 1995 through 2002; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota, that the Joint Powers Agreement of the West Hennepin Recycling Commission be approved and extended through December 31, 2002.
