SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Payette Lakes classic Wooden Boat Show is requesting permission to hang a highway banner to
advertise the event which takes place on August 13, 14, & 15, 2010. It will be held at Shore Lodge. They
have requested to hang the banner from August 2-15, 2010.
The Public Works Department is trying to set two days a week that the banners are hung and removed. We
would like to hang the banner on Friday July 30 and remove it on Monday August 16, 2010.
McCall City Code Reads:
3.9.04: TEMPORARY SIGNS: The following signs shall be permitted anywhere within the planning
jurisdiction and shall not require a permit:
(D) Street Banner Signs: Street banner signs advertising a public entertainment or event, if ,after the
submittal and approval by the council of an application, and only for locations designated by the
administrator, during and for fourteen(14) days before and seven (7) days after the event.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve request to hang Highway Banner for the McCall Wooden Boat Show.
