Information Systems Grant Coordinator t.— originator SUMMARY STATEMENT: The City of McCall and City of Donnelly submitted a joint application to the Idaho Office of Energy Resources for building retrofits, an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy, building energy audits and a solar demonstration project. The total amount requested was $199,800 and the retrofits and building audits were funded for a total grant award of $132,500. Retrofits ($65,000) for McCall City buildings will include new lighting in Public Works, Annex, Airport/Recreation, City Hall and Police Department. City Hall will also have a roof patch and new HVAC system. The amount awarded for McCall and Donnelly City buildings energy audits is $11,700. The City of McCall will serve as the lead agency in the grant project. The City of Donnelly is drafting an MOU for review by staff and the City of McCall attorney which will describe roles and responsibilities in managing the ARRA funding. This MOU will be presented to Council at the March 25, 2010 meeting. The Idaho Office of Energy requires acceptance of the grant award, in order to proceed with the development of the contract. Staff will be compiling additional information such as project scope and timeline, and historic resources determination and will forward to OER for contract development. The contract will be reviewed by the City attorney prior to presentation to the City Council for approval. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Accept the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant award and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents. RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTION MEETING DATE ACTION November 19, 2009 Council authorized staff to develop an EECBG application and work with the City of Donnelly to determine feasibility of a joint partnership for the grant application.
