SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall and City of Donnelly submitted a joint application to the Idaho Office of Energy
Resources for building retrofits, an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy, building energy audits
and a solar demonstration project. The total amount requested was $199,800 and the retrofits and building
audits were funded for a total grant award of $132,500. Retrofits ($65,000) for McCall City buildings will
include new lighting in Public Works, Annex, Airport/Recreation, City Hall and Police Department. City
Hall will also have a roof patch and new HVAC system. The amount awarded for McCall and Donnelly
City buildings energy audits is $11,700.
The City of McCall will serve as the lead agency in the grant project. The City of Donnelly is drafting an
MOU for review by staff and the City of McCall attorney which will describe roles and responsibilities in
managing the ARRA funding. This MOU will be presented to Council at the March 25, 2010 meeting.
The Idaho Office of Energy requires acceptance of the grant award, in order to proceed with the
development of the contract. Staff will be compiling additional information such as project scope and
timeline, and historic resources determination and will forward to OER for contract development. The
contract will be reviewed by the City attorney prior to presentation to the City Council for approval.
