RESOLUTION NO. 15-9107
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, NOTIFYING THE
GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO
FLORIDA STATUTE 218.503, OF THE CITY OF OPA-
LOCKA'S FINANCIAL CONDITION; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, is
experiencing financial challenges; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka have a
duty to notify the Governor of the State of Florida of when a certain event as set
forth in Florida Statute 218.503 occurs; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka
acknowledge a certain event as set forth in Florida Statute 218.503 has occurred.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,
Florida, hereby issues this formal notification of a financial emergency to the
Governor of the State of Florida as required by Florida Statue 218.503.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
