RESOLUTION NO. 15-9112
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING A FINANCIAL RECOVERY PLAN WITHIN
THE NEXT THIRTY (30) DAYS TO ADDRESS THE
FINANCIAL CHALLENGES OF THE CITY; PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,
Florida, acknowledge that the City is experiencing financial challenges; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,
Florida, have a duty to implement a financial recovery plan; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,
Florida, desire to adopt a financial recovery plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida,
shall hereby convene a workshop to create a financial recovery plan within thirty
(30) days after the date of this Resolution to address the City's financial challenges.
Section 3. The Financial Recovery Plan as agreed upon by the Commission
shall then be presented to the Commission for adoption and implementation or
revision, as necessary.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
