SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Several qualified applications for the Public Works Director position have been received. The search
process has been very thorough, including advertisements in regional and national professional publications
and web sites. Staff and Council members conducted extensive interviews with a number of candidates.
The City Manager has extended a conditional offer to Peter Borner, subject to Council confirmation. Mr.
Borner's resume is attached. His diverse experience will be a great asset to the City.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Confirm the City Manager's appointment of Peter Borner as the Public Works Director, per McCall City
Code 1-9-4(B).
