SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) has acquired new airport snow removal equipment and has decided to
sell their 1982 Idaho Norland to McCall Municipal Airport (MYL) in exchange for consulting services to be
provided by John Anderson, McCall Airport Manager in the amount of $4,950 worth of MYL consulting
services. The billing rate of $75 per hour is reasonable and will cover the costs of salary, overhead, indirect
costs, supplies, and travel to Bailey. SUN has been working with MYL for some time to make this trade
happen. While they would have preferred to donate this piece of equipment to us, their Airport Authority
felt that it would be better to sell/barter it to us. SUN has needs that their staff does not have the time to
fulfill, and MYL staff has a skill set that permits real value to be exchanged. The vehicle and plow have
been examined by MYL staff and appears to be in very good working condition. SUN staff verbally tells us
that the equipment is in very good condition. It will also cost us about $1,500 to pick up the truck and plow.
There is no additional outlay of cash for the airport manager and the airport manager receives no additional
compensation for this work. It is estimated that an additional cost up to $500 will be encountered for travel
and report production.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement with Friedman Memorial Airport as Buyer in the amount of
$4,950.00 and any and all associated documents for a 1982 Idaho Norland Truck Chassis with a 24' plow
with an effective date of October 1, 2010 and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents
