AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING SECTION
19-401, (STREETS AND HIGHWAYS), SCHEDULE A (SPEED LIMITS),
SUBPARAGRAPH (A), (FIFTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSON, PERTAINING TO SPEED LIMITS ON LORENZO GREEN DRIVE AND
A PORTION OF HIGHWAY 179; AMENDING SUBPARAGRAPH H (SIXTY MILES PER
HOUR), PERTAINING TO PORTIONS OF HIGHWAY 179 AND ROUTE B.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 19-401, (Streets and Highways), Schedule A, (Speed Limits),
Subparagraph (a), (Fifty-five Miles Per Hour), of the code of the City of Jefferson, is hereby
amended pertaining to Lorenzo Green Drive, Highway 179, and Route B, as follows:
SCHEDULE A. SPEED LIMITS
Pursuant to section 19-103,the following speed limits are imposed upon the following streets:
• (a) Fifty-five miles ner hour. No vehicle shall be driven at a speed in excess of fifty-
five miles per hour on:
Lorenzo Greene Drive: from Ellis Boulevard to the City limits.
Highway 179: Between Highway 50 and Edgewood Dr.
Section 2. Section 19-401, (Streets and Highways), Schedule A, (Speed Limits),
Subparagraph (h), (Sixty Miles Per Hour), of the code of the City of Jefferson, is hereby
amended by the addition of portions of Highway 179 and Route B, as follows:
SCHEDULE A. SPEED LIMITS
Pursuant to section 19-103,the following speed limits are imposed upon the following streets:
(h) Sixty miles ner hour.No vehilcle shall be driven at a speed in excess of sixty miles
per hour on:
Highway 179: those areas within the City Limits between Edgewood Drive and
Highway 54.
• Route B: those area within the City Limits.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
