RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE UNINCORPORATED
TERRITORY OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 107TH STREET AND WESTERLY
OF ALAMEDA STREET (ALANfEDA STREET ANNEXATION
N0. 5-A.)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Anne�ation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 193g as amended, there has been presented to the City
Council of the City of Lynwood, California, a petition dated November
17 i964 executed by Ira H. Jones, President, Jones Lumber Company,
Inc., requesting the annexation of certain property lying on the I
North side of 107th Street and westerly of Alameda Street, in the
County of Los Angeles, State of Cali£ornia, and lying within the
Following described boundaries:
Beginning at a point at a northwesterly corner of the
Lynwood City boundar�T as said boundary existed May 29,
1964 said point being the northeasterly corner of Lot
9, Block A, Watts Park Tract, as shown on map recorded
in Book 8, Page 70, of Maps in the office of the Recorder
of Los Angeles County, State of California; thence North
8j 45?. West along the northerly boundary of said tract
a distance of 128.70 £eet to the northwesterly corner of
Lot 13 of said block and tract; thence South 7 j2t� East
along the westerly line of said Lot 13 a distance of
153.00 feet to the northerly line of 107th Place, 40 feet
wide, shown as First Street on said map; thence North 87
35t East along said northerly line to the southeasterly
corner of Lot 9 of said black and tract, said point being
at a southwesterly corner of said Lynwood City boundary;
thence North 7° 32t west along said Lynwood City boundary
to the point of beginning. .
WIIEREAS, said terroitory is uninhabited, unincorporated
territory con�iguous to the Citf of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, eaid petition is signed by the owners of all
land in such territory and representing all of the assessed value of
such territory according to the last. preceding equali�ed assessment
roll of the County of'Los Angeles, State of California, in which
such territory is situated,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section'l That putsuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1g39 as amended, the City Council of the Cit� of
Lynwood hereby gives notice of said proposed annexation.
Section 2 . Said territory is hereby desi�nated for identi-
fication as "Alameda Street Annexation No. 5-A.
Section 3 . Said City Council hereby gives notice of and
fi�esthe-:-1'9th day of January.� 1965 at the hour o£ 7:j0 p.m. in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood,
California, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person owning
. real property within the city tvho does not also own property in the
territory to be annex_ed, may appear before the City Council of said
City of Lynwood and show cause why such territory should not be so
annexed.
Seetion 4 . The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
copy of this resolution to be published onee prior to said hearing, in
the LJnwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and
published in said City of Lynwood,. .
Section 5' . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
