Member John Hamilton introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.00-07
RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF
FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR HOLY NAME
DRIVE/LAKEVIEW ROAD SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, it is proposed to extend sanitary sewer from near the intersection of Co. Rd.
24 and Holy Name Drive northwest along Holy Name Drive and west along Lakeview Road to
serve up to 19 residential lots and to assess the benefited properties for all or a part of the cost of the
improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and
WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owners of 14 of the 191ots has been submitted to the
City requesting that the City investigate the feasibility of constructing the improvement project, but
said petition does not meet the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section 429.031, subd. 3
because it was signed by less than 100 percent of the abutting property owners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota that the proposed improvement be referred to Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik & Associates
as consulting city engineer for study and that they be instructed to report to the council with all
convenient speed advising the council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed
improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with
some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Zietlow
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson, Smith, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
