RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED �NNEXATION
OF THAT CERTi�TN PROPERTY IN THE UNINCORPOR�TED
TERRITORY OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING
ON THE WEST SIDE OF ALAMEDA STREET BETWEEN THE
WESTERLY PROLONG.�TIO1V OF CENTURY BOULEV�'iRD AND
108TH STREET (ALAMEDA STREET ANNEXATION N0. 5}�
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939 as amended, there has been presented to the City
Council of' the City of Lynwood, California, a petition dated
January 28, 1964, executed by Jones Lumber Company, Inc., requesting
the annexation of cer�ain property lying on the west side of Alameda
Street between the westerly prolongation of Century Boulevard and.
lO8th Street, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and.
lying within the following described bound.aries;
Beginning a�, a point at a northwesterly corner of �he
Lynwood City boundary, as said boundary existed. November 7,
1963, said point being the northeasterl� corner of Lot l,
Block A, �Tatts Park Tract, as shown on map recorded in
Book 8, page 70 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder
of' Los Angeles County, Sta�e of California; �hence North
g3 45z West along the northerly boundary of' said tract
a distance of 247.11 feet to the northwesterly corner of
Lot 8 of' said block and tract; thence South j 32t East
along the westerly line of said Lot 8 a distance of 133.18
feet to the northerly line of 107th Place, 4G feet wid.e,
shown as First Street on said map; thence North 87 35t
East along said northerly line and the easterly prolonga-
tion thereof 115.48 feet to the southwesterly corner of
Lo� 4 of' said block and tract; thence South 7 32i East

along the northerly prolongation of and. the easterly
line of the first alley west of Alameda Street as
shown on said. map a distance of 316.19 feet to the
southwesterly corner of Lot 10, Block C of said tract;
thence North 82° 28� East along the southerly line
of said Lot 10 a distance of 125.00 feet to the inter-
section af said Lynwood city boundary; thence Nor'ch
7� 32t West along said Lynwood city boundary to the
point of beginning.
WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited, unincorporated.
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood, and.
WHEREAS, said petition is signed by the owners of all
land in such territpry and representing all of the assessed value of
such territory accord.ing to the last preceding equalized. assessment
roll of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, in which
such terri�ory is situated.,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited.
Territory Act of i93g as amended, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood hereby gives notice of said proposed annexation.
Section 2, Said territory is hereby designated f'or identi-
fication as "Alameda Street Annexation No. "

Section 3. Said City Council hereb
y gives notice of and.
fixes the 3rd day of March 1964, at the hour of 7;30 p.m, in the
Council Chambers in �he City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood,
California, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person owning
real property within the city who does not also own property in the
territory to be annexed, may appear before the City Council of said.
City of' Lynwood and show cause why such territory should not be so
annexed.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby d.irected �o cause a
copy of this resolution to be published. once prior to said hearing, in
the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and.

published in said City of Lynwood.
Section 5� The City Clerk shall certify to the ad.option
of this resolution,
