HomeMy Public PortalAbout2000-012 Resolution Authorizing Public Works Director to Submit a Loan Application to Metropolitan Council Environmental Services27 Member John Hamilton introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.00-12 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT A LOAN APPLICATION TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WHEREAS, Metropolitan Council Environmental Services is offering matching loans and grants to fund projects or studies to reduce infiltration and inflow (I/I) of clear water into the Metropolitan Disposal System; and WHEREAS, a community may apply for a loan of up to $40,000 to fund projects or a grant of up to $10,000 to fund studies to reduce infiltration and inflow; and WHEREAS, a matching dollar commitment is required from the community for each loan or grant offered; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that Public Works Director Jim Dillman is hereby authorized to submit an application for a $25,000 matching loan to Metropolitan Council Environmental Services to fund I/I repair and removal in Medina which will benefit both the City and the metropolitan wastewater system.
