A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNW00� DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
STREET LI�HTING MODIFICATION ON A PORTION OF
LONG BEACH BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF LYN4JOOD
FOR A PER�OD BEGINNING JULY 1, 1g6�- AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 7.967 ,
The City �ouncil of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the public interest a.nd convenience
require, and it is �he intention of the City Council of the City
of Lynwood to orcler the furnishing of necessary materials to modify
the street lighting system made up of 2�- ornamental �tandards on
Long Beach Boulevard in the City of Lynwood within the district
described in Section 2 hereof, and to be known a.s "Street Lighting
Modification Distriet No. 2 of the City of Lynwood` Reference is
hereby made i�o Plan No. 196�-B and Specifications No Zg6�+-B on
file in the office af' the City Engineer of said city.
Section 2 . That the exterior boundary of the district
to be benefited therefrom and to be assessed to pay the costs and
expenses thereof to be knc.w n as said assessment district is described
as follows:
Those properties lying within the following described
exterior boundary li:ne, to-wit:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 293, Tract No.
2551, as shown on map recorded in Book 2 Pages 78, 79, and 80,
Records of Los Ange�es County, California; said point of beginning
being on the we�ter]:y line of the first alley east of Long Beach
Boulevard; thence �c�uth along said line to the southeast corner
of Lot 502 of said �racty thence westerly along the south line of
said lot to the intersection of the north line of Fernwood Avenue;
thence south across Fernwood Avenue along the easterly line of Long
Beach Boulevard to �he northwest corner of Lot 526 of saicl tract;
thence following th� northerly and easterly line of said bt to the
intersection of' the north line of Lot 527; thence east along the
north line of the last mentioned lot to the northeast corner of
said lot; thence southerly in a direct line to the southeast corner
of Lot 537, said point being on the north line of Lynwood Road;
thence westerly alor�g said north line to the southwest corner of
Lot 538 oi said tract; thence northerly in a direct line to the
northwest corner of Lot5�-8 of' said tract; thence along the north
line of Lot 5�3 to the intersection of the west line of Lot 5�9
- 1 -
of said tract; thence northerly along the west line and following
the last mentioned lot in all its various coursea to the west line
of Long Beach Boule�ard; thence along the west line of Long Beach
Boulevard to the woutheast corner of Lot 381 of said tract, last
mentioned point bei�g on the north line of Fernwood Avenue; thence
westerly along said north line to the intersection of the east
line of the first alley west of Long Beach Boulevard; thence
northerly along sa.id east line in a direct line to the northwest
corner of Lot 32� of said tract, said point being on the south
line of Sanborn Ayenue; thence easterly along said south line to
the point of beginning.
Section 3. That the said contemplated improvement sha.11
be for a period of three (3) years, commencing July l, 196�, and be
had a,nd taken under the provi�ions of Division l�, Part I, of the
Street� and Highways Code, cited as the "Street Lighting Act of Zglg
and amendments there�o
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of March, 196�.
