SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Idaho Division of Aeronautics is authorized to issue grants to assist airports with capital projects,
including matching Federal Aeronautics Aviation AIP grants. They may assist with up to 2.5% of the total
AIP grant. Our total grant is $2,183,225.
These matching grants are funded from Idaho aviation fuel taxes. Because of a decrease in fuel sales
statewide, the FAA will only fund a grant match for "entitlement" funds. In our case, our Non -Primary
Entitlement (NPE) grant, included in AIP 19, is $150,000. Aeronautics has assumed that the amount of our
project for their purposes is $157,880. For FY10, state fuel taxes collected for McCall fuel deliveries was
$8,713.84.
While we are disappointed that we will not receive $54,580 as a 2.5% match for the entire AIP 19, we are
grateful for any funding that we do receive.
The Grant Agreement and a Resolution 10-23, accepting the grant, are attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Read and adopt Resolution 10-23 to approve the FAA8MYL Grant Agreement, and authorize the Mayor
to sign all necessary documents.
