SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In 2008, the Arts and Humanities Council worked with artists to provide art for various locations
throughout the City for an ongoing "Art Walk". The City attorney, ICRMP, and Hartwell worked with
staff to develop a short term lease of art projects placed in McCall, which we will insure for the value
stated by the artist. The policy to insure public art pieces was requested by the City Council in 2004.
The lease for the first piece of art by Phil Wilcomb is displayed in Brown Park is up for renewal. The term
dates on the lease is November 10, 2010 through on November 10, 2011 and will be retroactive upon
approval of the Council. The value of the art piece, estimated by the artist, is $2850. The piece will
continue to be insured once the attached lease agreement has been approved by Council.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Personal Property Lease Agreement with Phil Wilcomb and authorize the Mayor to sign all
necessary documents.
