RESOLUTION N0. 65-26
A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON O�JECTIONS, AND
DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO
ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY AND DRYING WEEDS
THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, did on the 2nd day of March 1965 adopt Resolution •
No. 65-13 relating to the abatement of dry and drying weeds on
certain parcels of land in the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, due notice was given to destroy such weede by
posting "Notice to Destroy Weeds" notices as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for the hearing of
protests and objections to said matter, a hearing was dul,y held and
no written or oral objections were made to the doing of said work,
and
WHEREAS, the CitS- Council of the Citv of Lynwood has con-
sidered all the facts and is fully informed in the matter, and they
have acquired jurisdiction to proceed and perform the work of removal
of said nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 'L'hat the Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Lynwood be, and he ie hereb,y instructed to abate
the nuisance described in said Resolution No. 65-13 by having said
nuisances refenred to removed, and he and his assistants are hereby
expressly authorized to enter upon private propert,y for that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any property owners sha11 have
the right to have any such nuisance removed and abated at his own
expense, providec7 such work is done prior to the time the work is
'_ done b,y the Superintendent o£ Streets. I£ the work is done b,y the
' propert,y":owner, no charge shall be made bv the City of L;,�nwood.
