SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall was awarded ARRA funding for energy efficiency retrofits. This project includes the
installation of a new HVAC system in the City Hall and Police Station. A request for bids was issued on
January 4, 2011 and sent to six qualified HVAC contractors (semi -formal bid process). Four responses
were received:
A-1 Heating (McCall) $44,846.00
Quality HVAC (Grangeville) $59,700.00
Cascade Refrigeration Inc. (Horseshoe Bend) $47,380.00
Maximum Heating and Plumbing (New Plymouth) $40,924.00
Based on the bids received, staff recommends entering into a contract with Maximum Heating and
Plumbing for the HVAC project for the City of McCall. The contract is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Award the HVAC project for City Hall and Police Station to Maximum
Heating and Plumbing, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents for contract execution.
